Long time, no update. :)

I can't believe it's been so long since I've really updated over here. We've had a lot going on (both personal and professional) and my online time has really taken a back-burner. I'm very grateful that things seem to have calmed down and we're mostly back to normal. :)

November is a busy month around our house. I'm knee deep in my genealogical research and I'm hoping to take a road trip up to Franklin, Tennessee to visit the Carnton Plantation to document some of it in person. I'm also hoping to take a side trip to Blount County, Alabama to visit a cemetery that many of my ancestors are buried in. We'll be in South Carolina for a few days to celebrate Thanksgiving and Brett's grandmother's 90th birthday. Our 3rd anniversary will roll around while we're in Aiken, so hopefully Brett has something up his sleeve for that! I'm hoping to sneak a trip up to Scottsboro before Thanksgiving, too!
