Countdown

I was hoping to be able to announce our new website, but it's not quite ready. The wonderful Danielle (a.k.a. The Design Girl) is hard at work on it and I can't wait for it to debut.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with a hint!

Changing things up

There are some major changes happening around our house lately and I'm not just talking about some home improvement projects either! I don't want to spill the beans until everything is ready to launch, but keep an eye out around here. :)

Downtown II

I simply LOVE our small town's downtown historical district. I could take a bottle of water, my cell phone, and my camera and be out there all day. Actually, add in the best friend and that's exactly what happened yesterday!

Downtown

I'm a history buff so it's not a surprise that I LOVE old abandoned buildings. I would love to restore every single one of them, but unfortunately my loving husband doesn't exactly feel the same way. Rather than drive my husband up the wall about them, I've simply decided to satisfy myself by photographing them instead. :)

This evening's photo shoot was an absolute treat. My dad's best friend drove his beautifully re-done 1970 Camaro into town for me to photograph at some of my favorite downtown locations. Old historic buildings and a gorgeous Camaro? What in the world could be better?!

Happy 30th Birthday!

My sweet hubby turned the big 3-0 today! We had a rather low-key (but wonderful) celebration this year. Brett was able to get a day off yesterday so he and I had lunch together at the new Japanese restaurant in town. We grilled steaks with my parents last night and gorged ourselves of his "birthday cake."

In lieu of a birthday cake this year, he decided that he wanted a cheesecake from Juniors in NYC. Everything looked so good and we couldn't make our mind up on just one, so we ordered two. After much deliberation we went with the Red Velvet Cheesecake and Reese's Cheesecake. I'm quite certain that angels started singing when I cut the Red Velvet. For those of you who haven't had a Junior's cheesecake yet, I'll give you a heads up. They are the BEST in the world, but don't bother checking out the caloric value. You DON'T want to know. Suffice it to say that I will be running a couple extra miles to make up for this.

For Brett's actual birthday dinner we had Japanese again with my best friend, Debbie. Cheesecake followed shortly there-after! :)

Happy birthday, baby. I love you more and more everyday!

The Smith Boys

Thursday afternoon I met up with Shelli Smith and her boys to take a few pictures. Of course, Thursday was the hottest day that we have had so far this year and the boys were in dress clothes, but they were troopers!

What is absolutely amazing is Dylon (the cutie in the last three pictures) had open heart surgery less than a year ago!
